R.A.M.C. Man Killed
Survived Royal Edward Disaster
Another Burnley survivor of the Royal Edward is this week reported to have been killed although official confirmation is not yet forthcoming. Mr. and Mrs. Hodskinson, 11, Linby-street, have received several letters which announce that the supreme sacrifice hasbeen made by their elder son, Pte. Harry Ingham Hodskinson (20), East Lancashire Field ambulance. He enlisted in the R.A.M.C. unit raised by Dr. Callam in November 1914. By calling a photographer, he was an apprentice with Mr. Hartley, Burnley, and afterwards worked for Mr. Moffitt, Accrington. Several relatives are with the forces. One of them, John Wm. Ingham, was killed at the battle of Mons.
