Barrowford Colonial Wounded
News was received by Mrs. Holgate, of Starkie-street, Barrowford, that her son, Pte. Leonard Holgate, had been wounded. On Wednesday more details were received to the effect that Pte Holgate had been shot in both knees, that he was being treated in the general hospital, and that his condition was serious.
Pte. Holgate, who is 23 years of age, was a weaver at Barrowford, and two years ago went out to New Zealand. while there he joined the New Zealand force, and has taken part in the recent fighting.
