BARROWFORD MAN WOUNDED.
Lance-Corpl. B. Smallwood, son of Mr. W. J. Smallwood, formerly of Nelson and Barrowford, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Smallwood, of Gisburn-road, Barrowford, has been wounded. He enlisted in the East Lancashire Regt. shortly after war broke out, and he went to the front after about six months training. He has been wounded whilst serving with the Eastern Forces. Lance-Corpl. Smallwood is 23 years of age, and before enlisting resided for some time with an uncle in Nelson.
