As I prepare to celebrate Christmas with my family, I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has made this site possible - all of you wonderful people who use and enjoy this site.
I have had a wonderful time this year learning about you and your ancestors, and hopefully helping you to learn a little more about your heritage and maybe find a lead to that elusive ancestor.

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed.

Best wishes for a fantastic Christmas filled with family and friends, laughter, love, peace and happiness.

Merry Christmas.

Just noticed the snowman and "Merry Christmas" message at the head of the page. Cute!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this site....as a new user, and would-be member, you have allowed me to feel, once again, that Briercliffe (Harle Syke particularly) really is in my heart and is my real home.
I hope you all have a wonderful, safe holiday season.

Mel....you have been 'the perfect hostess'...and have given me so much help as I fumbled my way through all the interesting information.

My dad is tickled by this "spiderweb" and it whiles away many hours.....each time we open the website it is brand new and amazing to him!! So - thanks again.

I'll second that. It's one of the best sites I know and the people are so helpful and friendly.
Down to you Mel - take a bow.

It's been wonderful to be able to chat to like minded and very friendly people through this excellent site. I feel I have made new friends this year and look forward to reading your interesting discussions next year and hope I can contribute too. Merry Christmas and I wish you all a peaceful and healthy New Year.
Best wishes Pollyanna

Thank you for your comments.
Although I may have got the site up and running initially, I couldn't have done it without the support and help of all those who contribute. It's not a one-woman-show.

I hope it continues to be as successful, if not more so, in 2008 and the future.

I echo Sue's and Pollyanna's statements. I have 'met' (virtually and physically) some fantastic people through my interest in Briercliffe. I hope one day to put faces to many more of the names I see on here.

Best wishes

Even though I live a few thousand miles away, when I log on to this site I feel I'm among friends. Thank you to you, Mel, for all your work, and to everyone else for the help and information.

Merry Christmas,
Joan
