I didn’t think about it, are you saying this because it mentions the time of birth?

I'd agree Portia. A time was only entered for multiple births. Is there another on the index with the same ref?

I looked but I haven't found one - yet. I'm guessing he/she died very young.
If I can't find it I might try ringing the records office to ask if they can find one, being as it should be the next one in the register.
I wondered whether there was no birth record because the other was stillborn, or died quickly after. But if they weren't going to record the other birth, why bother putting a time on this one?
