Allen Edmondson, b abt 1779, married Ann Watson 1805, was my ggg grandfather. According to 'Edmondsons of Briercliffe with Extwistle' they baptised 4 children. His parents may have been Allen & Ellen. Can anyone help me. I can fill in a series of descendents to living relatives if anyone's interested. MikeH |

I have a Henry Edmondson born abt 1790 Briercliffe, he married Martha Smith on 1st Sept 1816 Burnley. The marriage was found on IGI and I have not verified it as of yet. They had the following children Hartley 1826 Sarah Ann 1844 (this may be suspect, could be daughter of one of the other daughters. She is down as "daughter" in the 1851 census) Kitty 1829 Martha 1823 Jane 29th Nov 1817 Jane married Thomas Thornton in 1840. They had amongst others Jane Thornton(b18th Sept 1854) who married William Kippax (b29th Oct 1854) in 1874. William was my 2X gt grandfather. If you have any more on these Edmondsons I would be very interested. |

Hi Gloria The Allen Edmondson I'm chasing had a brother Henry who married Mary, but they were both born abt 1776 - see HENY EDMONDSON in 1841 census. Mike |

We have a Nancy Edmondson of Briercliffe (1818-1889), who married John Leaver (1815-1864). Nancy was the daughter of Joseph Edmondson. http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf ... 04.htm#826 |
