Can anyone help me find out where my father was born, his name was Alexander G Everett, born 1912, as my Grandmother was a patient at the Briercliff in 1911, could he have been born there, I have been on three BMD site,s, and I can,t find a record of his birth. My Grandmother was Wilhelmina (Minnie) Everett, Gordon Everett.

Hi Gordon, glad you finally managed to get on.

Is Everett Minnie's married name or her maiden name? Was she married at the time of Alexanders birth?

hi, Spider lady, Everett was her married name, her name when she married my Grandfather (Alexander) was Wilhelmina Coats, her maiden name was Campbell, she was born in Ireland, (don,t know where,) in 1875, she married my Grandfather at Ulverston in 1903, my father was the youngest of 5 children they had , on my father,s Marrage certificate his age is given at 30, that was in 1943, so she was long married to my Grandfather, as my Father was not born till 1912/1913, is it possible, seeing that Minnie his Mother was a patient at the Briercliff that could have been born in there, and is there any way to find out, this little problem is driving me mad, also no birth record of my Father,s eldest and only Sister Margaret Everett, on her death certificate in 1968 she is aged 68 that was in Borrow in Furness, where my Father came from and as I was always led to believe, Gordon

the info on Minnie,s name come,s from a birth certificate I got from GRO, detailing my Dad,s brother Jame,s Francis,s birth in 1904, it said mother,s Wilhelminna Everett previously Coats, formerly Campbell, so she was married twice first to Mr Coats, then to Alexander Everett, my Grandfather. Gordon
