Hi Vernon,

Why a "doubtful Mary"?

I suspect that Frank Beaumont married Mary Emma Heaton in the December Quarter, Huddersfield Registration District in 1886 Volume 9a page 606 .

www.lancashirebmd.org.uk births has amongst others:
Alonza Beaumont born 1891 Burnley
Oscar Vernon Beaumont born 1892 Burnley

1891 Census:
11 Stafford Street, Burnley
Frank Beaumont, Head, Mar, 28, Bookstall Clerk, Paddock Huddersfield,
Mary, Wife, Mar, 27, Manchester
Hilda, Daur, 3, Burnley
Dennis, Son, 1, Burnley
Alonza, Son, 3 weeks, Burnley
Ann Stell, Nurse, Married, 42, Monthly Nurse, Burnley

1901 Census:
26 Rockfield Road, Walton on the Hill
Frank Beaumont, head, Married,38, Dairyman, Own Account, Yorkshire Huddersfield
Mary E, Wife, Married, 36, Manchester Lancs
Alonza, Son, 10, Burnley
Oscar, Son, 8, Burnley
Gwendoline, Daur, 6. Burnley
Doris, 11 months, Liverpool

Regards,
Mo

Thanks Mosiefish
My Resevations on the name Mary was it was a Liverpool derisory name given to people you didnt get on with used by my Granmother frequently.
This info has thrown light on the reluctance by grandfather about his family if he had lost older brothers and sister, I had the impression he was the oldest.
