I found this photo most interesting, on it is the son of my Gt Gt Grandparents James and Hannah Pickles, also their daughter Susannah's three daughters. I have no photos of any of the Pickles family, so that is why I am really pleased to see this. :D

Thanks for that Kris, I had'nt seen it. I think Maretta was is second wife was'nt she, he was married to Rose Ann first, who died of Typhoid when she was only 22. I have copied both those two photos to file, I am really pleased. :D :D

Yes, that’s right. Maretta was James Henry Pickle’s second wife.

Mel has a higher resolution copy of James in uniform, if you ask her nicely she might send it to you :D We also have his WW1 medals and some other items belonging to him.

I might just have the picture with me. I'll have a look on my external drive. I can't remember what is on it.

I'm enjoying myself Maureen.
You should have seen us all last night. Lyndon was on his laptop working. Dad was on the main pc playing solitaire. Mum was on my old laptop browsing the forum. I was on the new laptop adding pictures and doing a bit of tidying up! We all enjoyed ourselves!
Our place is very rural and is we had a storm last night, we were confined to indoors. We could have played Triv but none of us were that bothered to.

Stephanie, can you PM or email me your email address please, I don't have it here with me. I have some images to send to you that I think might interest you. They will eventually be added to the site but I've not had chance...well I have but I've just not done it yet!!
