The Preston Chronicle

Saturday 5 December 1840

On Tuesday last, at St Peter's Church, Burnley, by the Rev. James Bardsley, Mr. John Halstead, cotton manufacturer, eldest son of John Halstead, Esq., Cockden, to Mary, daughter of the late John Brennand, Esq., Byerden House, in this county.

I suspect this Brennand family would be the ones who owned Brennand Mill near St Cuthberts Church and after which Brennand Street Burnley is named.

John Brennand aged 51 of Byerden House buried at St Peter's Church May 7th 1838.
Mary Brennand aged 69 of Byerden House buried St Peter's Church 3rd May 1856.Probable parents of John Brennand
John Halsted aged 62 Of Cockden,Briercliffe buried St Peter's Church 16th May 1855.
