The wedding took place in Haggate Baptist Church, on Saturday, of Mr. Leslie Rawson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Rawson, of 18 Jubilee-street, Harle Syke, and Miss Annie Taylor, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Taylor, of 19 Halifax-road, Haggate. Mr. Willie Thornber officiated and the organ was played by Mr. John Foster. The bride, who wore a two-piece suit of ice blue with burgundy accessories and had a spray of anemones, was given away by her father. The bridesmaid was Miss Fanny Taylor (cousin of the bride), who wore a two-piece suit of lime green with black accessories, and had a spray of anemones. The best man was the bride's brother, Mr. Stanley Taylor, and the groomsman was the bride's cousin, Master Donald Atkinson. The bride was presented with a silver horse-shoe by her nephew, Master Derek Taylor. A reception was held at Storey's Cafe, Harle Syke, and later the happy couple left for their honeymoon on the West Coast.

I wonder where exactly "the West Coast" was. In 1943, most people probably wouldn't be able to go very far away (or for very long), even for their honeymoon. Blackpool, perhaps?
