Interesting Briercliffe Wedding
A pretty wedding took place last Saturday afternoon at St James's Church, Briercliffe, the contracting parties being Mr. Willie Tattersall and Miss Emily Smith, both of Parker-street, Briercliffe. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. P. Newton, vicar. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. W. Philip Smith, and she was attended by her sister, Miss Edith Smith. There were four junior bridesmaids, the Misses Marion, Muriel, and Marjorie Whittaker, and Miss Doris Duerden (cousin). The best man was Mr. Tom Tattersall, brother of the bridegroom, the groomsman being Mr. Eddie Smith.
