Briercliffe

Wedding.- The marriage took place at Hill Lane Baptist Chapel on Saturday of Miss Alice Ellen Wood, of Duke-street, and Mr. Harold Sutcliffe, of Burnley-road. The bride wore a blue crepe de chene dress and a fawn velour hat, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. She was attended by three maids, Mrs. William Wood, Miss Mary Sutcliffe, and Miss Elsie Wiseman. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Rennie Sutcliffe. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. C. Stanley, tea was served at the home of the bride, and later Mr. and Mrs. Sutcliffe left for Blackpool. They were the recipients of many presents.
