This Betty Leaver is the 2nd wife of my 3X gt grandfather. Does anyone know anything more about her other than the details on the marriage ie, father?

Crikey Kris "This is all that I have", not much
On the marriage for Elizabeth (1831) to James Kippax it says she is a spinster, and yet you have a previous marriage for her.
We have been down this road before with the Kippax family and the Leaver family living at Hollin Grove, didn't we find an illegitimate child of a Leaver fathered by a Kippax? it wasn't these two was it?

As far as I know she was married only once, but there were three illegitimate children, father was unknown (I have not sorted the children yet, hence I they are not mentioned above)

Yes that's right Maureen, I am descended from James and his first wife Mary's son William. Are you related to Bannister?

Not sure yet Gloria. This is one of those branches that didn't get attached to the tree yet. the sort you keep in case they come in useful one day (a bit like husbands)

Kris may correct me, but at the moment there's no Kippax connection.

Hi Chris, welcome to the site.

There is not necessarily a right, wrong or easy way to post the kind of information you have.

I think Kris (Leaver) may also find this post of interest but he is Rwanda for another 3 weeks yet so a reply from him will be delayed.

Hi Chris, welcome to the site.
Have you thought of putting the tree on the home page under family trees? There are quite a few on there now. If you are unsure how to do it contact Mel-----she talked me through it.
By the way I think your formatting is fine, especially "See copy of page 15. in scrap book" mine would be "See 3rd pile of scrap paper" they never get as far as a scrap book.

Send me a PM or email if you wish to have your tree added Chris.

Gloria, you have piles of scrap paper! (Nearly stopped at 'you have piles' )
Mine are not in piles and not even in the same room! Lyndon complained the other day that there is even a 'dead person note' in the bathroom window. His mum had given me a news cutting of a local death which I shoved in my pocket. On taking laundry to basket in bathroom, I emptied pockets and put the cutting in the window.
