Deaths
On Friday last, in the 29th year of his age, Mr. Wm. Dent, builder, of Ferkin Street, Burnley. Seldom has a young man been called to his account, whose death will be more deeply and sincerely lamented than his whose decease we now record. Actively engaged in the pursuit of a respectable business - honorable in all the engagements and transactions of life - affectionate to an helpmate, deserving and obtaining his kindest regards - the fond parent of an infant family - above all the pious, humble-minded, unobtrusive, yet zealous and devoted christian - he won and retained the esteem of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Only last Sunday was he engaged in collecting after the sermon at Hack Gate as alluded to in our last, but enough, "let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his."
