Retired Farmer's death

Member of Old extwistle Fmaily

The death took place on thursday of Mr. John Edmondson, a well-known member of the local farming fraternity and one of the Edmondsons of Extwistle Hall. Mr. Edmondson, who was in his 83rd year, died at the home of his married daughter, Mrs. Heap, of Adamson's Farm, Burnley. Mr. Edmondson, who had been interested in farming all his life, retired from business 15 years ago, and had since lived with one or other of his two married daughters, the other being Mrs Atkinson, of Broadhead Farm, Manchester-road. Mr. Edmondson held Holden Farm, Roggerham, for 18 years and Stephen Hey Farm, Briercliffe, for eight years. The funeral will take place on Monday.
