WHALLEY Henry Trawden p.Whalley Cotton Manufacturer June 1836

Taken from a book at Rochdale that indexed Lancashire and Cheshire Wills, I think this should be available from the LRO at Preston.

Have just received will of William Whalley 1824 Heyhead leaves to brother Henry 5 cottages in Marsden,Williams wife Grace to enjoy rent from them.She is to keep in good repair for their children.
signed Stephen Whalley of Benthead,John Baldwin of Heyhead & H Bolton of looks like soer colne. William puts his mark & seal. :)

Have received will of Joseph Whalley of Little Marsden,1769.
Leaves to his brother William & William's children,
Signed John & Margaret Berry & Richard Mancott a dear friend

Wonderful loopy writing & a seal.
He puts "being through mercy (although weak in body) of a sound mind & exploring memory"
