If my file is correct, Isaac was the son of Jonathan Catlow and Jane Sutcliffe of Barrowford. Jane descends from my Heptonstall line.

Really surprised to find this on the Internet. Bertha Catlow was my great-grandmother. I am the grand-daughter of Gladys and Tom, but also the great-niece of Jane Simpson, wife of Noel Leaver. Virginia Quigley (nee Simpson).

Virginia, do you have information for Thomas Simpson? Coincidently, my 2x gt. Grandparents are James Catlow (1864-1925) and Emma Simpson (1865-1928), and I am wondering if there might be a connection. http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf ... 5.htm#1402

Also, on the 1901 census your Catlow’s are living three doors down from Tobias Clegg (1840) who married my 3x great aunt, Nancy Catlow (1837-1867). I wouldn’t be surprised if our Catlow’s are related further back. http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf ... 4.htm#1670
