Maybe I missed it but I don't see anywhere for posting photographs to see if anyone can put names to them or where/when they were taken etc. I would appreciate such a facility I am wondering if anyone else would too?

Sorry but I had to have the photo facility on the forum switched off as we were getting undesirable images posted by spam users.

If you want to, you could email them to me, I will add them to the mai site for all to see and then post a link here on the forum. Let me know and I will send you my email address.

Hi, we have quite a nice collection of old photos. The unknown people are in the miscellaneous section.

What a great photo! I wonder how many of these boys served their country during the war.

Mel, can you change the details on a couple of these photos please? Some of them have William Henry Lever, and it should be Leaver.

Photos of William Henry Leaver are below.

Thank you I will gather what photographs I have together soon then - such a shame spammers have to spoil things all the time for the more sensible people isn't it!

It is. This new forum (we changed a few months ago) seems more secure though. In the early days, I would be on the forum as soon as I was awake to delete the spam users and the posts they had left. I'd hate to have to go back to that now. I've always thought of myself as quite 'streetwise' but there was a lot that left me gobsmacked, I'd hate for the forum users to have seen it.
