It would be very useful and important for posterity to have the date and place indicated beneath the photograph. In cases where the date is unknown, and estimate should be given, because today we can see when photos, (especially of people,) have a date of approximately 1910 but in the far distant future this would be virtually impossible. Thanks. |

I'm afraid I can't even give an estimate in many cases. When I add photos from the Society collection, I borrow 30 or 40 but have no notes or detail to them. Others are often submitted by complete strangers who do not have the info. A lot have been bought through ebay and no information is known. If anyone can give dates to any pictures on the site, feel free to post the info here (with a link to the photo you are dating) and I will amend the detail. |
