Post subject:  Missing stones along Halifax Road Lanebottom

Perhaps there will be quite a few people who have also noticed the ever-shrinking wall - betwixt the footpath and road - that (used to be) on the left on the way to up to Haggate from Lanebottom. Obviously someone is visiting quite regularly and making off with the stones on a near industrial scale.

It seems that in some countries there is an organisation which will (for palms crossed with silver) make themselves available to protect public assets of this nature; the name given to them is THE POLICE.

I wonder if it would be of any interest to others in Briercliffe, if we were to employ such a body for our very obvious current needs? If (against all odds), it should turn out that there actually is such a body already in existence, perhaps we could pay up whatever is owed, and get them round to have a look into this.
