Funeral of Mr. Willie Nuttall - The funeral of Mr. Willie Nuttall, of Burnley-road, Briercliffe, took place at Hill Lane Baptist Chapel, on friday the 13th inst. The Rev. W. O. Pugh, of Woodlands-road Baptist Church, Nelson, conducted a short service at the house and also performed the last rites at the graveside, while the Rev. A. H. B. Cook, Hill Lane's new minister, and Mr. Robert Halstead, of Nelson, officiated in the chapel. Among the floral tributes were tokens from Hill End Mill co., Ltd.; workpeople of Heasandford Mill; Hill Lane Band of Hope; Hill Lane Baptist Church; Harle Syke Men's Fellowship.
-In place of their customary session, the members of the Men's Fellowship held a special memorial service in honour of the president, the late Mr. willie Nuttall. Prayer was offered by the chariman, Mr. T. W. Wright, of Burnley, and an appropriate address was delivered by the Rev. W. O. Pugh, of Nelson, who paid a fine tribute to th elate Mr. Nuttall, both as an ardent Christian and as an earnest worker for the ideals of the Fellowship. Several members also expressed their appreciation of the efforts of their late president.
