Death of Mr. R. Greenwood - The death occurred on Wednesday, at the age of 68, of Mr. Roger Greenwood, of Duke-street, Briercliffe. The funeral took place on Monday at Haggate Baptist graveyard. A short service was conducted at the home by the Rev. W. O. Pugh and Mr. James Halstead, senior, who at the graveside were assisted by Mr. James Ogden. There were many floral tributes, including one from the Central-club, Briercliffe.

Tennyson-Street Sisterhood - A well-attended social, promoted by the Sisterhood, was held at Tennyson-street on Saturday evening. During the evening various items were rendered by the Sisterhood choir, Misses Hird and Kippax, Madam Clara Shackleton, Mrs. Burrows, Mrs. Kippax, Mrs. Burrows, Messrs. Pugh, Nuttall, Benson, and J. Burrows. Miss Edna Sutcliffe was the accompanist. The proceedings were presided over by Mrs. Pugh.

Wedding - The marriage took place at Haggate Baptist Chapel, on Saturday of Mr. A. P. Edmondson, of Church-street, and Miss Lucy Baldwin, of Duke-street, Briercliffe. Mr. James Halstead, junior, officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr. George E. Clarke, wore a dress of beaver velvet with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of lilies. She was attended by the misses Sarah ann Baldwin and Edith Baldwin, Phyllis Sutcliffe, Sarah Richardson and Nellie Richardson. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Fred Edmondson, the groomsman being Mr. Willie Taylor. Tea was served at the Independent Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Edmondson were the recipients of many presents.
