BRIERCLIFFE.
Harry Brown, farm labourer, Aughton Farm, Briercliffe, charged on warrant at Reedley Police Court on Monday with arrears of £501 13s. on a wife maintenance order made against him in 1929, alleged that his wife told him that as long as he kept away and did not attempt to see the children she did not want any money. He offered to pay 15s. a week, the amount of the order, and 5s. off the arrears, and this was accepted by the court.
