Trespassing In Search of Game On Monday last, John Oats, John Read, Edmund Chadwick, and John Smith, of Worsthorn, were charged with trespassing in search of game on grounds belonging to the Rev. W. Thursby. Oats was fined £5, and the others £2 each. - Shackleton Whitam, who had been found on the grounds of C. Towneley, Esq., on the night of the 31st ult., was pursued and taken in a privy; a gun stock was found in his pocket, and the barrel hid under the privy seat. He was committed to the House of Correction for six weeks, and at the expiration of that term to enter into recognisance for twelve months - himself in £10, or two sureties in £5 each.
