Death By Drowning

On Monday morning last, James Smith, a weaver, who lived in Dawson Square, and who was seventy-eight years of age, was found drowned in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, at Habergham Eaves. He had been seen in a public-house in Burnley on the previous night, at which time he was in a state of intoxication. An inquest will be held this day.
