A Publican Found Drowned
A man named Sagar Holden, an innkeeper, was found drowned in the canal at Habergham Eaves by a man who was passing the banks, who, seeing a man's head in the water, gave an alarm, and the corpse was taken out. Mr. Holden was last seen alive on the night of the 12th, about twelve o'clock, and was then forward in liquor, and going in the direction of his home. He is supposed to have gone on the canal bank for a nearer way, and walked in. His watch was stopped at 2-40. An inquest was held near to the Rose Grove Station yesterday afternoon, and a verdict of "Found drowned" was returned.
