Fires - A destructive fire broke out yesterday morning at the Barrowford Loom and Power Company's Cotton Mill, Nelson, Lancashire, and in less than an hour and a half the building was gutted. The stocks belonging to Messrs. Atkinson and Co. and to Messrs. Wilson and Hartley, valued at £9,000, were also destroyed. A high wind was blowing at the time. The damage, which is estimated at £20,000, is covered by insurance.
