Public Garden
We have often noticed the very well-managed garden belonging to Mr. Thomas Wilkinson, of the Grey Mare, at Gannow, and known by the name of the "PArthian Bower Garden;" but we do not believe that it ever looked so well as at the present season. There are now upwards of 500 rose-trees, and an innumerable quantity of pinks, and other flowers and plants. Besides, he has continued to improve the accommodation for visitors during each successive season, and as there is no other garden to which the public have access on such easy terms, it is a great place of resort by the industrious classes of society from the town and neighbourhood of Burnley, and many of the wealthier, too, visit it on week days.
