Suicide

On Wednesday week, an inquest was held at Cliviger, on the body of a woman named Betty Lord, aged 45. The Deceased had been for some time unsettled in her mind. On Sunday afternoon the 21st ult., during the absence of her family she went upstairs, and tied the end of a cord round a beam from which she suspended herself. When found she was on her knees, and quite dead. She had previously tried to destroy herself three months back. Verdict - "Lunacy."
