Suicide

On Monday forenoon, John Hitchon, one of Mr. Towneley's gamekeepers, found Mr. Francis Anderton, formerly of the Thorn Inn, Burnley, but lately discharged from Lancaster under the Insolvent Debtor's Act, suspended from a tree near a place called Sand Hole, within the precincts of Towneley Park.
