Rechabite Outing

Beautiful weather favoured the Briercliffe Rechabites on the occasion of their trip to Southport last Saturday. A party of 38 adults and 72 juveniles joined colleagues from Brierfield and Nelson and travelled to the seaside by rail. After a thoroughly enjoyable stay, during which they had tea on the Pleasure Beach, the party left for home about 8-30p.m. Anxiety was caused when it was found that two of the young members had been left behind, but fears were dispelled when they arrived at Manchester-road Station at about 11-30 and were conducted safely home. Messrs. G. Glenn, A. Greaves, and A. Leaver were in charge of the juvenile party.
