DISTRICT NEWS.
BRIERCLIFFE.
HILL LANE MISSION ROOM. – In order to reduce the debt on this place, a tea party was organised by the married woman on Saturday. There was a good attendance, and about £10 was realised.
VOTES FOR WOMEN. – On Friday, in connection with the Hill Lane Mutual Improvement Class, a paper was read by Miss Lawrence, of Nottingham, supported by her sister, in favour of votes for women. There was a large attendance.
