Ta Ta For Now,
Off upto Scotland in the morning, on a week's holiday, going to a little village called Glencoe, I will probably be off line for a week as I dont think they have any connectivity where we are going, so I will be in touch when I get back, we will be in the back of beyond. Talk when I get back. Byeeeeeeeeeee :P

Had a really great time, as anyone who has been to Scotland will know, the mountains and lochs are something to behold. We let lucky with the weather, it rained the first two days, then beautiful, think we were the only people in Britain (north west Scotland) who had lovely weather. Stayed in a lovely old cottage, with a bit of a spooky atmosphere and some old photographs of previous owners ( now long dead)adorning the walls, one was especially creepy as I have told Joan, she seemed to follow you about the room with a disapproving look on her face.
Could not use our laptop too remote, even struggled with our mobile phones. But we lit a lovely coal fire one night, just the way we used to as kids, brought back fond memories.
Wonderful holiday, wonderful place. Thank you for asking. :)

Was it a family/friends cottage or a holiday let?

There's one for the dialect - "We let lucky" Not something I have heard said locally.

Could you PM (or post) the details please? We having been talking off going up north for a while, where you stayed sounds like our kind of accommodation.
