Post subject:  Most Haunted - Henry Attreall

I have to confess, sometimes I watch Most Haunted and I was rather intrigued whilst watching a repeat last night. This particular episode was filmed at Spitbank Fort in Portsmouth Harbour, and one of the mediums came up with a name, Henry Attreall, and his year of death, 1910. This information got me thinking and I wanted to see if there was anything online to confirm this information. To my surprise there was an entire thread on this topic, inclusive of news reports and photographs.

If anyone else saw the show they should check this out.

The Most Haunted website has a bit on Newchurch in Pendle in Lancashire.

I posted this link on the OGFB forum, Barrowford John had this to say about it

"Mel, opened the link to the Most Haunted programme relating to Tinedale and my worst fears were confirmed. I was up there last Tuesday, Mrs Nutter, who invited the programme to Tinedale Farm says she wished she had never done it. There has been a long procession of gawpers at the property, some (as might be expected) very strange to say the least!

As for the content of the programme - I have never read as much contrived tripe in my life; It is innaccurate to the extreme. There is not a single statement in the site text that is true but unfortunately the power of television means that many people will see this crap and believe that it is the truth "

Most Haunted were at Towneley Hall last Monday. What a laugh. It's all become too much of a pantomime these days.
