I went with OH on Sunday. Learned a few words I think my mum wouldn't approve of! Time they learned some new songs tho! Round me they were still singing
Ee aye, ee aye, ee aye oh
Up the football league we go
When we get promotion . . . .

and

No nay never, no nay never no more
Will we play Blackburn (polite version) Rovers
No never no more.

Think the penny hasn't dropped in some quarters yet.

What a shame about todays result. Still, I'm sure they gave it their best shot.

Oh dear, Sunderland just equalised.
Now I consider myself to be a bit of a fan, and I'm not averse to watching the match - live or on tv. But this time it's a bit much. You may wonder why that is, and I'll tell you.
Picture this. We're in a very nice hotel room, 1 minute's walk from 5th Ave, 20 minutes from Central Park and 15 from the Empire State Building. In the space of about 30-45 minutes we could be at Ellis Island or Liberty Island.
WHY ON EARTH ARE WE INDOORS WATCHING FOOTBALL?????

My thoughts entirely, Stephanie. But it's a hopeless cause. With only 5 minutes or so to full-time, I haven't a prayer of dragging him away. :(
Oh yes!!! 3-1.
Maybe I'll get him away before the after-match discussion if I'm lucky. This is going to cost him really dear when I hit the shops.

We had a surreal weekend last weekend. In a hotel room in the south of France watching an American news channel on what seemed to be German satellite tv hearing the results for Burnleys game!
