Belated happy Christmas to everyone, and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Special thanks to Mel for the truffle cake recipe. I was a bit nervous about it at first but it went down a storm yesterday. Definitely one to add to my collection. :D

It's a bit tasty isn't it

What is everyone doing tonight? We don't 'do' new Year so it will be a quiet night in for us in front of a well stocked log burner :D

Oh dear. Hope you both feel better soon. It's still lingering a little with Lyndon though I do wonder if a little of it is so that I will wait on him

Happy New Year to everyone. Spent our New Year's Eve in front of a (fake) coal fire by ourselves. I did push the boat out and cook tho.
Don't know anyone who went out celebrating - is that a sign of our age???

Definitely a sign of age  :?

This is a great start to the New Year...I've had a breakthrough. It's not going to take my back in time but it's something that has been bugging me for months/years.
Lyndons dad has always said that his aunt Hannah married a Saunders and they had a daughter Nancy. Could I find the marriage? No! Nor could I find the birth entry for the daughter Nancy. Didn't help that Hannah was a Smith of course.
Anyway, after much digging and searching this morning on the 1911, and several freebmd windows open, I have found her! She married a Chrenion first, he died and she married a Saunders a year later. I wouldn't find the daughters birth as I was looking for Saunders and she was born a Chrenion. :D :D

Hope this is not the only riddle I manage to solve in my tree this year

Well done Mel---Chrenion, what an unusual name, never, ever come across that one. Wouldn't like to chase it back down the censuses, it must come with all sorts of spellings. Any idea where it originates from?
