Did anyone watch antiques roadshow on Sunday? (I'm sure it'll be available on iplayer if you missed it) It came from Towneley Hall. I recorded it so will watch it properly later but I caught a few minutes of it - the accents really make me chuckle. Why do they always sound so much more 'broad' on tv.

Ha ha, we videoed it also but haven't watched it yet. O.H. sister went and they queued for hours.
PS-- I hate to think what I would have sounded like with my accent

The weather was awful too.

Couple of nice surprises in there. I love it when they genuinely have no idea of the value. I can't understand why you would go along, queue for hours when you already know how valuable of the item.

I am politely not commenting on your accent

I reckon every time they do a tv programme about Burnley they set out to find the broadest accents just to fit the stereotype. For example, Gloria and I don't have an accent at all and, as far as I know, no-one's ever asked either of us to be on TV :D
