Well...we spent a little time on Christmas Day perusing the 'spiderweb', my dad and I. He had a couple of little brain-waves, which may help identify some photos in the 'unknown' catagory of the Halstead Collection.
The 'unknown girls'...look like teen sisters...he says are the Holgate sisters.
The 'unknown boy' has a last name of Proctor (Procter?)
The 'unknown family', he says, is the Hartley family from Burnley....seems they may have been friends of dad's grandparents, especially grandmother, John Robert and Martha (Hirst) Halstead. He says the man in the photo came for Sunday tea each week to their house on Church Street.
Now...this is from the spotty memory bank of a 91 year old...but you never know. He insists I tell you, Spiderlady, because he is sure he is right!
