I've been reading Mrs Shackletons diaries again.
What was 'the scrat'? She mentions it a few times.

I don't think so Gloria. From what I remember, she refers to 2 people who have the scrats, and a few. Or not many. I wondered if it was either some kind of vermin or lice or something along those lines
