Thanks Mel.

Hi Gloria, no, I don’t think I have seen the original, so if you find anything, can you pass it along please?

Gloria/ Kris
I've seen the film of the marriage record on film but the only information it gave was:
When – 16 November 1797
Where – St Peter’s Church Burnley
Groom – Thomas Leaver of this chapelry
Bride – Nancy Thornton of the same
Witnesses – Robert Hartley & Thos Crossley

I think the witnesses are the usual suspects who witnessed most St Peter's marriages around that time.

Maureen, I discovered a mistake in our Leaver tree.

James Leaver (1864) and Margaret Jane Heap (1866-1941) are the parents of Rennie Leaver (1890), but we have Rennie Stewart Leaver (1890) as their child. Rennie Stewart Leaver (1890) is actually the child of James Leaver (1860-1929) and Emma Bannister (1862).

Thanks Kris - I think I got it sorted now.
