Does anyone know who this Mary Catlow might be on the 1891 census? I believe she is still living with the same family in 1901 but wrongly listed as Sutcliffe.
This Sutcliffe family does connect into my tree. I wondered if she might be connected through the wife of Henry. The wife was Mary Ann Emmott., having married a Samuel Massey in 1877, he died in 1880 and she then married Henry Sutcliffe in 1882. Henry was also a widow when they married, having first been married to Ann Eliza Bracewell in 1868, she also died in 1880.

Have you seen this one on 1881?
15 Tentre St, Burnley
Ellizabeth Catlow 55, head, wid, formerly cotton weaver b Barrowford
Thomas Catlow 19, son, unm, cotton twister, b Burnley
Mary Sutcliffe 35, daur, cotton weaver, b Barrowford

If it's the same one, it looks as if she was born a catlow and married a sutcliffe

I don't have time to fill these out, I keep losing connection. But it looks to me as tho Mary Catlow was the illegitimate daur of Elizabeth Catlow. If you follow the censuses you'll see what I mean.
I wonder also whether Thomas Catlow was Mary's brother or in fact her son.

The only Mary Catlow I can find, marrying a Sutcliffe between 1861 & 1893 is:
Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1862
CATLOW Mary , SUTCLIFFE Matthew at Burnley, St James Preston CE110/1/257

haven't followed it up or checked it out.

The gym is calling. After that I can start enjoying myself
