We do Stephanie. This one will be the most expensive I have ever bought which is why I am travelling to get it. It's an early birthday present from Lyndon. Mind you, I very rarely order certificates these days. I probably spend less on books than I have on certifictaes over the years. |

I've been informed of a copy of the above book that has become available.... Memories of Hurstwood, Burnley, Lancashire, with tales and traditions of the neighbourhood, by T. Wilkinson & J.F. Tattersall. Published in 1889: Burnley: J. & A. Lupton; London: J.S. Virtue & Co. An informative and often amusing account of the history of the hamlet of Hurstwood near Burnley, written by members of one of its long-standing families. Folded chart at rear intact. (12), 166 pp. Very good condition. Price £120 post free. John Edmondson Acanthophyllum Books (PBFA) 243 Pensby Road, Heswall, Wirral, CH61 5UA I got my copy 5 years ago and paid the same price. |

Have just checked Abe Books online and found they currently list four available copies of Tattersall's book - with prices from £35 to £70 plus postage. Condition of none of them looks to be as good as the one Mel has heard about - but might be good enough if content and economy are more important than a pristine volume. I have found Abe Books to be a great source of obscure books at good prices. Ruth |

I use Abebooks and Alibris a lot. They are both great resources for hard to come by books. For me, the content of the book is more important - as long as it can be read and isn't going to fall apart in the process. Thanks for the info Ruth |
