Publications
Last year the Society published "A Lancashire Weaving Company and its Community: Harle Syke Mill 1856-1787" by Duncan Bythell and Roger Frost. The book is well illustrated and has been produced to a high standard. It costs £6-50. per book and is available from the society.
The reprint of Roger Frost's 1982 "A Lancashire Township: The History of Briercliffe with Extwistle" is at the printers and will be available in time for Christmas. Also coming is Roger Frost's "A Ha'porth o' Liver: The History of Shops & Shopping in Briercliffe" and his "The Valley of the Goblins: Thursden, A Narrative Walk" which has been co-written with his sister Pauline Frost Hardwick. For these titles prices have not yet been determined but only limited numbers will be published, so, if you want to reserve copies please contact Roger.
