Go and have a tour of Hoghton Tower whilst you are there, do the dungeon tour if you can, they kept some of the Pendle witches there on route to Lancaster.

Was it worth going?

Yes. You know me, I love old books. There's a Burnley book on ebay, has been for a few weeks now, for £75 and I've been toying with the idea of having it. That was there and, having thumbed through it, decided it's not interesting enough to me to warrant £75 though I don't doubt that it is worth it.

I got one or two items of interest but no real gems if you know what I mean.

The drive up was horrid in all that rain and we didn't do the tower because it was so grotty (weather not tower!!) though I'm sure there will be other opportunitys. I got the impression it was a regular venue.

There will be a book fair at Pendle Heritage Centre in August. I hope to go to that though we will only just be back form France so can't say I'm definitely going at this moment in time.
