I had given up before and always went back Mel, but I can honestly say now hand on heart I will never have another ciggy, it is something you have to want to do for yourself, and I went cold turkey, no aids, my hubby followed suit one month later, my daughter in law the year after that, we are now a non smoking family and I must admit everything smells fresher, I can now smell a smoker a mile off  to think I wasted all those years (and money) in a fog of smelly cig smoke, wish I had cottoned on earlier.

My dad stopped smoking when I was born and he is the worst person for smelling smokers. Never touched them myself

I gave up when I found out I was expecting our son--he is 35yrs now. I used to smoke 30/40 a day and had tried quite a few times to give, but up to no avail. I hated seeing pregnant women smoking and that was the kick that made me stop.
I still on the odd social occasion fancy a cigarette, but I know I will never have one.
