It boggles the mind that this little video of Haggate Chapel (which is just the way I remember it) is on the world wide web on Youtube.......for all the world to see!

Today I have had broadband installed and have for the first time been able to view this video properly. What a shame the building has now gone. I could just imagine it packed to the rafters with all our ancestors dressed in their Sunday best singing their hearts out.

Will it be saved on the Briercliffe web site or will it eventually disappear off you tube? Hope it's never lost.

I'm shocked it has gone... oh dear I thought it was still there. It looks from the clip that it was undergoing some refurbishments? wonder why it got torn down? :(

It was torn down because it would have been too costly to do the repairs Glenys. There is a newspaper article on here from the time when the decision was made, follow this link http://briercliffesociety.co.uk/talkback/viewtopic.php?t=560
