I've received an email this morning from an man who used to live in Harle Syke mentioning that the mills had nicknames. I was aware of this but know very few of them.

Can anyone think of any of the nicknames used for the mills?

To the sender of the email - I did reply but the email bounced back as undeliverable due to a permanent error. Thanks for getting in touch.

I seem to remember Sue from OGFB mentioning something about Gibraltar and also Malta I think. Were they mills?

Pretty sure it wasn't mills she spoke about, but the name of cottages somewhere around LaneHead. Gibraltar was definitely one as I tried to find out where it was.
