Prompted by another topic, what would be on your 'Bucket List'?

Wishing I had the forethought when I was little to have written down everything told to me by my older rellies, who are now long deceased, about our family and their way of life. That is just for starters.

I'd like to see the Northern Lights.

That was on my list too, Mel. Done!
I lived inthe Arctic for 3 years and they were very visible often...travelling to the western Arctic to Yellowknife is where I remember them best...most vivid. The Inuit claim to hear them too...spectacular! No photo does justice.

Another of my 'done!' is hot air ballooning......loved it! Had a picnic when we descended into the Arizona desert! Champagne, tablecloth, horses' ovaries....and photos to prove it!

Checked off now, also, is seeing the Grand Canyon.

My list doesn't ever get shorter...I keep adding to the damn thing! I'll never be able to fall off my perch at this rate!

One that was not on my list was to swim with dolphins. We did this a couple of years ago though and it really was something special.

Another for my list is to own a motorbike. I have always loved bikes but my dad always said 'not while you are under my roof'.
Lyndon is dead against them too and is putting his foot down with a firm hand. He was involved in a serious bike accident in the late 1980's which saw him on deaths door and bed bound for months. He still has problems today that were caused by the accident so I completely understand his reasoning. It doesn't stop me from wanting one though!!

Ooh yes, love to see the Northern Lights.
Bring my beloved uncle Malcolms body home from Korea where he is buried after being killed there whilst serving in the army in 1952.
Grand Canyon, and walk over that new glass bridge that they have built so you can see below when you step out.
See the Pyramids in Egypt. (Done the Nile cruise and seen Valley of the Kings)
Go on a wagon train in a covered wagon in the States. (Just like they used to do in those old movies)
Travel on a Greyhound bus across America.
See a cure for Cancer, Diabetes,MS, and all other nasties, but particularly Cancer.
To see peace in this World, where there is no hatred or greed.
See and end to putting the clocks backwards and forwards twice a year, what a pain going around the house changing them all.

I think I will have to live for ever too, there is so much that I could put on this bucket list.

Horses ovaries??????Suzy????
I have done the Grand Canyon, in a helicopter, champagne picnic. I wanted to put my hands in the water but we were still too high up, even though we were quite a way down onto the canyon.
Alcatraz, I had always wanted to go there, and it didn't disappoint. I must have had someone there at sometime, because it has always been a strong "must do". I wonder if there is a list of all the inmates somewhere????

Just for clarification, the bucket list is really things YOU want to DO or ACHIEVE yourself.........Stephanie, your list includes things you'd like to SEE happen in your lifetime. On the other hand, I don't know you, so perhaps you are a cancer research specialist, or have the ears of our G7 leaders and are presenting them with a Nobel prize winning proposal, as we speak! If so, I REALLY want to meet you..and that goes to the top of my bucket list!!

This is interesting :D
