April Showers
Everything comes to him as waits,
Sooer does watter and general rates,
Gas bill, 'lectric, telephone too,
Then income tax, that follows thru.
Cost o' watter rate mecks me sore,
Me and wife pay twenty four,
Air they reckon it, ah can only guess,
Thers five next door, and they pay less.
Lots o' foork may think it queer,
Ah spend more on watter, than ah do on beer,
They charge that much for use o't sewer,
Ah've getten as ahm afraid to gooer.
Air general rate is ONE FOUR OH,
Nair that's a blooming lot o' doh,
Nearly four quid discount, so they say,
If we pay bi eleventh o' May.
Reckoned it up------cannot cope,
Eleventh o' May------not a hope,
Bin an towled 'em as ah'll try,
After th'olidays in July.
Desk clerk gave mi a quiet hint,
Meck sure tha doesn't come hooam skint,
Failure to pay by stated dates,
They've a way wi' them as doorn't pay rates.
If thart entitled to some relief,
Then go to tairn an see the chief,
But if he says thars nowt to come,
Ger it paid, thars hed it chum.
Cremating, that's gone up ah see,
It's bairn ter cost mi moor to dee,
Wi' that ah'll finish, an say no moor,
When ah've getten to that, mi worries o'er.
